Parish Cleaning Day - 04/19/08

Lazarus Saturday, April 19, 2008, was cleaning day for St. Theodosius. Many members and especially many young people pitched in to help. The Cathedral, Parish Hall and the Cathedral Graounds looked wonderful after this spring cleaning.

Diocesan Assembly Celebrates Liturgy at St. Theodosius Cathedral - 10/03/07

The 46th Midwest Diocesan Assembly gathered around their Archpastor, Archbishop JOB, on Wednesday October 3, 2007 at St. Theodosius Cathedral. His Eminence presided at the Holy Liturgy joined by the Chancellor, Fr. John Zdinak, Fr. John memorich - host pastor of St. Archangel Michael and the Deans of the Dicoesan Deaneries. The Assembly participants were joined at the Liturgy by many of the Faithful of the Greater Cleveland Area.

Bishop IRINEJ Visits St. Theodosius Cathedral - 09/10/07

Bishop IRINEJ of the Diocese of Australia and New Zealand of the Serbian Orthodox Church presides at the Divine Liturgy on our Patronal Feastday, the Glorification of St. Theodosius of Chernigov.

Bishop IRINEJ is a longtime friend of the Cathedral Parish. We were blessed by his visit and pray that God grant him Many Blessed Years in his episcopal ministry!

110th Parish Anniversary Celebration
St. Theodosius Cathedral Parish celebrated 110 years of Orthodox Christianity in Cleveland, Ohio on the weekend of September 9&10 2006. The celebration began with the service of Great Vespers on Friday evening celebrated by Archpriest John Zdinak. Saturday morning began with the Hierarchal Divine Liturgy celebrated by Archbishop JOB, Archbishop of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest. His Eminence was greeted first by Mr. Frank Tkacz, Lay Vice Chair of the Parish Council and then by Fr. John Zdinak, Dean of the Cathedral.

Archbishop JOB's Lenten Visit 2006 - 04/12/06

On Wednesday, April 12, 2006, His Eminence Archbishop JOB made an Archpastoral visit to St. Theodosius Cathedral to celebrate the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts. Celebrating with him were the Cathedral Dean, Archpriest John Zdinak and retired Archpriest Pavel Soucek who is attached to the Cathedral.

At the Beginning of the Liturgy Daniel Morris was tonsured to the rank of Reader by His Eminence.

Archbishop JOB's Visit July 3, 2005
His Eminence Archbishop JOB made and archpastoral visit to the Cathedral Parish on the weekend of July 2-3, 2005. The visit began with the celebration of Great Vespers on Saturday evening and continued with the celebration of the Holy Liturgy on Sunday morning. His Eminence joined us for fellowship afterwards at our parish coffee hour.

We also celebrated the marriage of Daniel Boerio and Jennifer Nolan that afternoon. Daniel has been a faithful Altar Server and Blessed Subdeacon at the cathedral for many years. He and Jennifer now reside in Seattle, Washington.
